The Obama administration and the US Commerce Department recently announced a 20 million dollar grant to public-private partnerships across the country.
There are in all ten public-private partnerships receiving the funding, they are comprised of businesses, colleges and non-profits which all cluster around a certain area. The Grants are designed for the partnerships to boost manufacturing growth at a local level.
The ten partnerships are located throughout the country and each is designed to train at least 1000 workers.
