Alstom Creates LP75 Turbine Blade with Very Long Last-Stage Blade

Alstom has created a turbine blade called the LP75, 75 Inch, very long Last Stage Blade for nuclear system turbines.

Alstom created this large blade to serve cooler climates in places like the United Kingdom or other waterfront countries. Used in the lower pressure areas of the Arabelle nuclear steam turbine, it reduces a fifth of exhaust loss as compared to the LP69. Minimizing energy of the turbine increases the output.

This blade exists in six plants, and will soon expand to 18 other sites.
