DOE program challenges manufacturing industry and colleges to create a stronger future

Awards totaling $20 million will be given to 10 different companies throughout the United States in an effort to build up the manufacturing base in this country.

The Advanced Manufacturing Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge, a program started by the Energy Department and the Obama administration,  will retrain the workforce and help companies made products to export.

Cabinet leaders agree that this is the step for a stronger future.
