Italian Earthquake Scientists Imprisoned for False Assurances

The Italian courts have sentenced some scientists to six years imprisonment for giving false assurance in 2009 earthquake.

Small tremors spread, the seismologists told people to not worry and there was no indication that a large one would follow.

Because of these predictions many Italians stayed home, and the quake either killed or injured them.
