Applied Plastics Machinery of Portland, OR, nearly went bankrupt shortly after the owners new wife discovered their bookkeeper, a trusted family friend, had been robbing them blind.

After cleaning up in the office one day she discovered a check made out to the local children’s hospital. She consulted her husband about it, and he had no recollection of donating any money there. Upon investigation they quickly discovered their embezzler.

They nearly had to fold. However, thanks to the hard work of the owners they barely recovered.
