UPDATE 1-Pentagon suspends all F-35 flights due to crack in engine …

The Joint Strike Fighter Program, the largest U.S. weapons program, faces another setback today as a total of 51 F-35 fighter planes were discovered to have a crack on the turbine blade of the engine. The cost of these jets is very high, and it’s embarrassing on the government’s part to have such an oversight of a potentially deadly mistake. Losing credibility will lose money in sales as well.

Australia will be deciding in the next few weeks on rather or not to still purchase the F-35 jets or to switch over to the Boeing equivalent. It was a bad day for the Pentagon, and its largest weapons program.
