US Defense Department Awards $48 Million to Penn State ARL Lab

Penn State’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) began a new program initiated by the Defense Department.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Instant Foundry Adaptive through Bits (iFAB) program pans to streamline the design and manufacturing complex defense system products.

The program has been given a budget of 48 million dollars, and involves Penn State as well as several other state and private colleges.
