World’s Longest Blade Launched in Shanghai

Alstom has introduced the LP75, a Last Stage Blade for nuclear steam turbines.

The launch took place in the Nuclear New Build Summit in Shanghai. The blade is the longest in the world, and replaces the LP69, utilizing a reduction of one-fifth in exhaust losses, when compared with the LP69.

Electrical output is maximized in the LP75, and energy waste is minimized.
