EPA’s “Cross-State Air Pollution Rule” Struck Down

In a surprise set back for the Obama administration, the US Court of Appeals has struck down the EPA’s proposed “Cross-State Air Pollution Rule” as over-reaching and impinging on state rights.

The rule, as proposed, would have had an enormous negative impact on the coal industry by forcing the shutdown of many older coal-fired electric power plants.
