The inability of people to have basic math skills keeps a lot of people unemployed and a lot of advanced manufacturing jobs not filled.
What would happen if there was an error of a factor of ten on a fuel injector on your car or the nozzle that delivers medicine to your children?
This industry can not afford to make mistakes and hire people who are do not have basic math skills.
