The Precision Machine Shop Association has prepared a disaster plan for its members, which current shops hit by Hurricane Sandy could find useful.
While it covers how to handle the loss of a key piece of equipment and getting it replaced quickly, it also has a network of machine shops that can assist a damaged shop with fulfilling critical just in time orders.
