A new Rolls-Royce turbine blade factory is predicted to increase business for companies making laser-drilling systems. The new factory is being built in the South Yorkshire town of Rotherham. Beginning around 2014, the factory will scale up to producing 100,000 turbine blades a year. The blades will be used in engines for large civil aircraft.
